Suggested Solutions

1. No response to the touch.

1.1. Touch screen, ADB cable and/or controller are not connected properly.

Please refer to the User’s Manual. Make sure controller box is connected to the ADB port on the keyboard. The touch screen cable and mouse are connected to the controller box.

1.2. The controller or ADB cable may be defective.

If there is a red X over the Touch icon at boot-up, and you have made sure that the connection is correct, contact tech support to report problem code: ADB01.

1.3. The driver may not be installed correctly.

Check if you have all the files copied to the right places: “Touch Screen” should be in Control Panel. “Touch Screen Driver” should be in System Folder’s Extension. If the installation did not copy those files to the above-mentioned locations automatically, copy them manually.

1.4. The touch screen panel may be defective.

If the connections are correct and driver is installed properly, the touch screen panel may have shorts or broken wire.  Contact tech support to report problem code: ADB02.

2. The touch position is not accurate.

2.1. The screen needs to be calibrated.

Make sure to use the stylus to touch the center of each +, one at a time (total 2 +’s).

3. The touch position is accurate in most areas, but off a lot in certain area.

3.1. The touch screen may have linearity problem.

Open the paint program and use stylus to draw horizontal and vertical lines on the screen.  If the line is curved in certain area, contact tech support to report problem code: ADB03.

Contact tech support to report problem code: ADB04.

5. Touch screen does not work in certain program.

5.1. The program may not be a mouse-driven program.

Touch screen can only work with mouse-driven program.

6. Touch screen works but mouse doesn’t work.

6.1. One ADB port on controller box may be defective.

Switch the mouse with the ADB cable on controller box.  If touch screen stops working after the switch, then one ADB port on controller box is defective.  Contact tech support to report problem code: ADB05.

7. Cannot drag or draw.

7.1. The touch control panel is not set correctly.

Make sure the Operating Mode is set at “Drag” and the Operating Speed is set at “Fast”.

8. The cursor is shaking when touching.

If the cursor is still shaking when touching the screen firmly with the stylus, contact tech support to report problem code: ADB06.
