How to enable Java and JavaScript Options
To make your Java and/or JavaScript option enable, do as following:
For Netscape Navigator 4.x
From the Edit menu, select Preferences; select the Advanced options,
and make sure both Enable Java and Enable JavaScript for Navigator boxes are
checked.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x
From the Tools menu, select Internet Options; select the Security
tab; select the Internet zone and click the Custom Level button; for the
setting, Microsoft VM - Java permissions, select Medium safety. Scroll down
to Scripting. Beneath Active Scripting, select Enable.
For Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
From the View menu, select Internet Options; select the Security tab;
for Zone, select Internet Zone, and in the Internet Zone area, select
either the High or Medium security level.
