Optir Touch - Resizable Infrared Optical Touch Screen
.
An Innovative
DIY Design -
Making your own touch screen size is as easy as
playing kid’s building blocks.
.
You can connect IR transmitter and receiver segments to build touch screen
from 5.15” x 5.15” to 70.4” x 70.4” with any aspect ratio. No more
will
you need to buy a new larger touch screen for a larger display, just add
more segments. When you can build your own IR screen from segments
onto a custom frame, you will no longer need to pay high freight charge for
shipping an over-sized package, because you only need to purchase a small
box of components. Current model is for USB interface and compatible
with Windows 2000 & XP, Vista, Intel Mac & Linux.
.
5-year warranty on all IR
components, 1-year warranty on cable, power supply and accessories.

OPTIR Touch's Advantages: |
Maximum
clarity - no added overlay except protection glass if needed. |
|
Light touch - no pressure is needed, can be activated by finger, gloved
hand or stylus. |
|
High durability - no moving parts involved. |
|
Do-it-yourself kit can be shipped at minimal cost comparing to shipping
the finished large touch screen. |
|
Ability to resize the screen or increase the size by adding more
components. |
|
|
The IR touch screen is
made of 100% solid state electronics. There is no moving part,
and no mechanical function involved. It is assembled by one
horizontal transmitter bar, one vertical transmitter bar, one horizontal
receiver bar, and one vertical receiver bar. Each sensor bar is
assembled by a number of segments of standard length to form the required
active area. Each horizontal bar and vertical bar are connected by a
corner PCB. A special corner PCB is used at right-lower corner for
connecting to the controller board. The controller is USB interfaced
to the computer, and the current driver supports Windows 2000, XP,
Vista, Mac, and Linux. |
| |
|
Once the
active area is determined, it will be very easy to calculate how many pieces
of sensor component segments are needed. All the segments are very easy to
connect and disconnect without needing any special tools.
The components need to be
assembled onto a frame to complete the IR touch screen. This frame can
be made by yourself, or KEYTEC can custom design it for you.
